Tyler leads Denali expeditions with the Alaska Mountaineering School, specializing in team integration, winter systems, and advanced crevasse rescue.
He guides throughout the Tetons and the Rocky Mountain West, with a specialization in splitboard mountaineering and technical descents — including Mount Rainier's Fuhrer Finger and the Ford–Stettner Couloir on the Grand Teton.
His approach combines disciplined risk management, technical precision, and skill-forward instruction. He holds a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Wyoming and maintains Wilderness First Responder and Avalanche Professional Level 1 certifications.
Outside of guiding, he explores new terrain by dirtbike and plans alpine objectives.
