Tyler
Froese
Tyler began his career in Vancouver designing technical systems built for the human body in motion — refining his foundation at Istituto Marangoni in Milan and the Chip Wilson School of Design.
He started his professional career at Arc'teryx, where he developed expertise in the design-to-manufacture process for technical outdoor equipment, before joining Lululemon's Innovation Lab (Whitespace), collaborating with biomechanical engineers, material scientists, and athletes to translate human insight into technical solutions.
He later founded Grey Area Studio to bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, leveraging advanced methods including engineered knits, molding, RF welding, 3D printing, and complex assembly systems to deliver technically rigorous, production-ready products.
ODI × Grey Area Studio
Tyler is part of the ODI × Grey Area Studio partnership powering Outdoor Innovation’s end-to-end product development — from lab-validated prototypes to production-ready golden samples.
